Took just under 2 hours to assemble by one person. After 2 days the bed started to squeak every time I moved on the bed. All the screws are tightened so nothing is loose but this noise still remains. Also the smell of the bed is horrible, I’ve had it 3 weeks and there is still an synthetic strong odour which I’m trying to air out but it’s making anything on top of the bed smell. Not pleasant at all. The brackets that are supposed to hold the mattress in place when you lift the base they just fall off. I wouldn’t recommend this bed but it’s too much hassle to return it.

All parts were in good condition with no damage or scuffs. My son only needed a bit of a hand at the point where the levers for lifting were fitted. I suppose you could get around it if you had something to help prop it open.
So far it’s been working well and as it being used with one of those ‘mattress in a box’ it means the top is easily lifted.
