    Really lovely lamp base and good quality and value for money. Sturdy and looks great. I upcycle furniture as a hobby and bought this lamp base so I could paint it myself, but it’s such a lovely light wood I’m leaving it as it is.

    We love it! Sturdy, good weight. Lovely, natural wood. In spite of other reviews, ours fitted together perfectly – you can’t see the joins.

    Looks amazing & so worth the hard work & it was hard work ! Although this bobbin lamp is paintable it is not stainable unless you sand the whole thing down & that’s where the hard work came in. It’s coated in a thin clear lacquer that made the stain just ripple & sit on top ! A whole week later it was sanded all by hand & I was close to giving up ! But thankfully I didn’t & after 3 Costa of stain & 4 coats of satin varnish it’s amazing !
