Cheese Appetizer Spread with Fig Jam and Pecans

This easy cheese appetizer has a creamy base, a sweet fig jam topping, and crunchy toasted pecans. It looks elegant and takes only minutes to prepare. Great for parties, holidays, and last-minute entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 1 block cream cheese (8 oz)

  • 1/4 cup fig jam

  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • Pinch of salt and pepper

  • Crackers or baguette slices for serving

Instructions

  • Allow the cream cheese to soften for 20–30 minutes.

  • Spread it on a shallow serving plate.

  • Warm fig jam for 10 seconds and spread over the cheese.

  • Toast pecans in a skillet for 3–4 minutes.

  • Sprinkle pecans on top.

  • Finish with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  • Serve with crackers or bread.
